Energy efficiency allows the best use of energy, the result of which is obtaining economic, social and environmental benefits. Its role in the economy and in social welfare is becoming more relevant every day, since its benefits cover all energy users, making productive sectors more competitive and contributing to the reduction of spending in the public sector. Energy efficiency is for Panama an important component in its energy strategy, which is manifested in its National Energy Plan 2015-2050, which shows its commitment to drive and promote energy efficiency and take actions for the benefit of the environment. Among its priorities is the construction of its Fund for the Rational and Efficient Use of Energy (FUREE). Through the implementation of the Fund, it is intended to promote the efficient use of energy in the different sectors of the country and to overcome the financial barriers that users currently have to implement energy efficiency measures and projects. This document presents a proposal for an inefficient equipment disposal system replaced as a complement to the Panama FUREE Fund. (Available only in Spanish)<\/p>\n
